Who We Are
About Aliston Care Foundation
A non-profit, non-political and non-discriminatory organisation supporting indigent children and vulnerable widows across Nigeria.
Our Story
From a community initiative to a registered foundation
Aliston Care Foundation is a non-profit, non-political, and non-discriminatory organization committed to improving the lives of indigent children, vulnerable widows, and underserved families across Nigeria.
The establishment of Aliston Care Foundation was inspired by the challenges women and children face within the family, including poverty, family instability, and neglect. These challenges often contribute to women’s suffering and children’s withdrawal from school. This motivated the Foundation to promote peaceful families, empower vulnerable women, especially widows, and support indigent children to access and complete their education.
The Foundation began its activities in February 2017 through marriage seminars and family counselling aimed at promoting peaceful homes, family reconciliation, and community stability. In February 2022, the organization restructured its operations to expand its humanitarian activities and strengthen its impact on vulnerable individuals and communities. It was duly registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) on 28 October 2021, with Registration Number RN 168211.
Aliston Care Foundation focuses on supporting the educational aspirations of indigent pupils, school dropouts, and out-of-school children through school enrolment, the provision of educational materials, and improved learning environments. The Foundation also promotes the socio-economic wellbeing of vulnerable widows through skills acquisition, vocational training, livelihood development, healthcare support, and other empowerment initiatives.
Guided by its core values of discipline, equality, integrity, accountability, and compassion, Aliston Care Foundation believes that every child deserves access to education, every widow deserves an opportunity to live with dignity, and every vulnerable family deserves the support needed to overcome challenges and build a better future.
